Hi Collectsmedal,

Thats an awesome and pristine M15 Prussian pickelhaube you have there! blink.gif

The liner is simply awesome, thats a killer liner! The helmet itself looks very smooth and very little crazing. Thats somethin very rare for a 90 plus years helmet. You dont get haubes in that condition often. cheers.gif

It looks almost unisued, could this be one of those helmets came from a clothing depot which was ransacked by the Allies?

Could you pls post a detailed pics on the round maker's mark, pls? It seems that there is a 1916 mark, too.

Thank you so much for sharing this superb condition M15 haube, thats simply a killer haube. exct0006.gif

Cheers,

Very nice!! Ya theres a number of these 'smaller' ones coming out that were never worn I believe as they were too small. I got mine from Mr. Joey on the board where did you get yours?? Oh I dunno if you plan to display it as such but it is not good at all to let these rest on their front and back 'flaps', this will eventually tear the stitching as they are very old. Here is mine for comparison. ROCK ON Jon 020.[Netz.Ru].gif

Thanks for all the kind comments.

It is a very small size, so Jon may be right about its not being issued for that reason.

I picked it up for $50 at a flea market about 10 years ago.

I do not store it sitting on its edges, its kept in a box for now properly padded. Once I get my display room finished I will be sure to mount it correctly, that for that tip.

When I get a chance in the next few days I will take some better pictures of the liner markings.
