Hi gang,

There is a Saxon Rgt 100 EM haube being sold on ebay. The 100th is the Saxon premier/elite Rgt (Leib grenadier).
It has the charateristics of normal Saxon Infantry haube, except that all the metal fittings are silvered, and the 100th Saxon crest/wappen is the opposite of normal Saxon Wappen, the star is silvered and the crest is gilt.
Compare the 100th fittings with normal Saxon rgts, the very neat EM Saxon is Phil's (helmhunter)and the Saxon officer's mine.

It has the 100th rgt markings and the seller claims (I dont read French, actually) that it has the BA XII mark. And everything else seems ok.

Perhaps its because of the high opening bid of 900 euro that prevent anyone from bidding....but http://www.kunst-und-militaria.de/ Saxon Rgt 100 is being sold for 1100 euro (http://www.militaria-online.de/cgi-bin/showart.pl?art=401),
Hence the french ebay's is "cheaper" then.. 00009176.gif

Hope this helps and Cheers,

Thats a nice helmet Mush and I wouldnt have noticed the difference had you not told us.People like to feel they are getting a good deal on ebay and starting off at 900 Euros isnt a good deal .Perhaps if the seller starts at 50 Euros it would attract a lot of attention and once drawn in to the bidding its difficult to let go.Rob.
