Do you know Mush I have never before seen as many JZP helmets as I do nowadays .America must have imported thousands at the wars end ,I was looking at a fake OR Pickelhaube yesterday and then a real one and it was quite unnerving as they were practically the same,in 50 years time they will probably be accepted as original .And Military bargains uk has started selling his fake haubes with added crazing !!.Rob.

HiRobert,

You are right, it just occured to me that there are lots of JzP and Kurassier helmets on sale, could these be the war bond haubes? But why they appear in such number nowadays.

It seems that those fake haubes are getting better each time, and I am surprised to know that the UK guy is offering an added crazing to make the haube looks old. Do you have the site? I am curious.

Check out this site:

His wappens are superb! I am very much impressed with his Garde officer wappen and the braunscweig IR 92 officer wappen, the skull is correclt placed slighly off centred, thus revealing the letters "Fuerst", what a craftmanship.

Like you said, in 50 years time, no one could tell the difference between this copy and the original, scary.

Cheers,
Mush
