Another interesting ersatz, its a bayern STEEL haube. Pretty rare, but its nt in a good condition, nebertheless, its intact!
Liner is there, nt too good tho, but there is something that bothers me, look at the 'ghost'line out of the wappen, it does looks like the prussian eagle, right? I can see the spread wings, and the impression of the feathers are also visible.
Perhaps its a Prussian steel haube, and some guys placed a bayern wappen instead.
Btw, notice that the bayern wappen is devoid of CROWNS. A Republican era wappen? Or just simply, broke one of the wappen, well, might as well broke the other 2, lets make it a weimar era wappen.

Maybe due to these oddities, the bidders are bidding it very wisely, 16 bids and yet it only reach $ 167. Perhaps the helmet wll go through some restoration by the new owner.
