Hi rosenberg,
I am sosorry for the late reply, was very busy.
Yours is a Prussian Dragoon haube, but some of the parts are very confusing.
It has a pvt purchase wappen, which only officers, One Year Volunteers and other ranks (mostly NCOs) who had the ability to buy them, yet, it has the EM/issued visor trims, and it has the officer's pattern pearling on the neck of the spike, and it has the officer double ring on the spike itself.
The kokarden, however, are EM, and the chinscale bosses are also EM.
Yet, the wappen appears to have been there a long time, obvious by the 'shadow'. Is there any extra holes on the shell.
Its a mixture of EM (issued) and Pvt Purcahse (officers) haube, but I will have to check again, btw, the liner is also issued/EM, and, uhmm, the drawstring is
definately nt original
The rear spine is also pvt purchase type, nt EM.
Could this be a One Year Volunteer's haube?
Cheers,
Mush
