I just hate to see anything parted out or scrapped if it can be saved.I finally got all the parts together, less chinstrap, and decided to save this one.I glued the back of the helmet back together with Barges' leather glue and mounted the rear visor with the rivets that were already present and 4 stitches through exsisting stitch holes.I may elect to have it professionally restored once I find a good shell to mount all the parts on,but for now I think it looks pretty good on display. What do you think?

Jim,
i'd say you've done a fantastic job on that one-a sympathetic restoration IMO & well worthy-never mind what the purists might say.
